NOBODY NOBODY NOBODY. It’s ok not to be ok

“NOBODY NOBODY NOBODY It’s Ok Not To Be Ok” is an open process articulated through different actions, in public spaces, museums, theatres.
Starting from the creation of a solo, it extends to collective experiences, through workshops and research paths in schools

TEASER

I let all the images flow, I celebrate them, I let them go. I let my defenses crumble. I let the memories of the flesh rise to the surface, the memories I now bid farewell to. No more resistance; I name every wound, and I let the skin speak all the traces that remain. I will take care of this fractured body. I merge with everyone, I merge with everything. I fall silent, and everything around me responds. Empty, empty, empty—the entire front wall of my head, of my chest.
Daniele Ninarello

Drawing from the artist’s own autobiographical experience, the performance unfolds as a completely open-ended process—a danced discourse that explores the memories and traces left on the body by a culture of control, violence, and offense. The project is conceived as a series of “protest” actions, emerging from solitary and meditative practices. Mantric practices developed during the recent months of social distancing, created to train the skin to release what it perceives as held back, to articulate wounds, and to expose the authentic “living body,” offering one’s vulnerability as the condition through which to let one’s revolution unfold. Replacing the rigid postures of defense and control with new, fluid, permeable, and transparent postures. The body becomes a symbol of a territory into which to direct the thought of Care, and in these danced protests, a new instantaneous alphabet takes shape—a succession of gestures and actions like liberated impulses.
