Daniele Ninarello is an artist working in the field of performing arts. His choreographic language is articulated through a constant research of movement that focuses on the “living body” as a place of mediation. His works often consist of movement practices that unfold in an experiential choreographic dimension, where bodies are often oriented and kept alive by a collective consciousness. After attending the Rotterdam Dance Academy, he immediately began working with several international choreographers, including Bruno Listopad, Virgilio Sieni. Since 2007, he has presented his creations in numerous national and international festivals.Since 2010 his productions have been included in the network “Anticorpi XL” in Italy, and he has presented his work internationally as part of the networks “Les Repérages” and “Dance Roads” supported by Mosaico Danza (I). In 2010 he was invited to participate in the residency program “Transforme” as a choreographer, under the artistic direction of Myriam Gourfink at the Fondation Rouyamont (F).
In 2012 his work TROIS CORPS was selected to perform at DNA Romaeuropa Festival and in 2013 he was a finalist in the Premio Equilibrio Roma. In September 2012, he began working as a dancer with the company EASTMAN – Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
ROCK ROSE WOW, the first production of his own dance company, debuted in 2013 thanks to support from Movin‘Up 2nd session for the foreign residency project in 2012 at Tanztendenz Munchen (D) and thanks to the production prize ‘Teatri del Tempo Presente’ that he received in the same year, supported by Fondazione Piemonte Dal Vivo and MIBAC Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali. In May 2013 he presented his project VERTIGO at Confluenze, a project of Unione Musicale di Torino and Torinodanza / Fondazione Teatro Stabile di Torino.In 2014 with L.A.N.D. WHERE IS MY LOVE? he was awarded the production prize COLLABORACTION#2 which supports young choreographers, sponsored by the network “Anticorpi XL” and coordinated by Mosaico Danza. He has danced with internationally renowned musicians and composers including Kai Gleusteen, Ezio Bosso, etc. In recent years his work has been supported by festivals and national and international dance centers such as TorinoDanza / Fondazione del Teatro Stabile di Torino, Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo-Circuito Regionale dello Spettacolo, MosaicoDanza / Festival Interplay, CSC-Centro per la Scena Contemporanea Bassano del Grappa, TROIS-CL Centre Choreographique Luxemburgeoise, Grand Studio Bruxelles, CDC Le Pacifique Grenoble, Centro de Documentação e Pesquisa em Dança Rio de Janeiro, CDC Les Hivernales Avignon, CANGO Cantieri Goldonetta Florence, ecc.
In 2016 he creates KUDOKU, together with the musician Dan Kinzelman, which had his debut in BIENNALE DANZA 2016 (Teatro La Fenice – Venice). In the same year KUDOKU was selected by AEROWAVES TWENTY17, by NID Platform 2017 and for Rencontres Choreographiques – Seine Saint Denis – France. STILL is his latest project, which received the Prospettiva Danza Prize (I). STILL is part of the project STILL Body Experience with Digital Brain realized with the support of Compagnia di San Paolo “ORA! linguaggi contemporanei _ produzioni innovative”.In recent years he has collaborated as a teacher with national and international centers including Balletto Teatro Torino “Master Formazione Danza Contemporanea”, M.A.S. in Milan, guest teacher in choreographic composition and contemporary dance at ALMADANZA PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMME in Bologna, Accademia Nazionale di Danza in Rome, Balletto dell’Esperia, Balletto di Roma, ArteMente in Milan, University of Arts in Amsterdam, Campus Beijing Dance Festival. In 2017, with the project “Cubita” curated by Elisa Vaccarino, he was invited to create a choreography for the Compagnia Persona directed by Sandra Rami in Havana, and then he was a guest choreographer at the Choreographic Center Dantzagunea where he creates LEAD for the company Dantzaz.Daniele Ninarello was invited as a guest teacher and choreographer in May 2018 at Amsterdam University of the Arts in the Modern Dance Theather department where the choreographer signed CHORA, a choreography for third year students.
In 2018 he was also selected for the action Prove d’autore XL of the Network Anticorpi XL, where he created a choreography entitled BLOOM for the MM Contemporary Dance Company of Reggio Emilia, directed by Michele Merola. In the same year he also began his three-year collaboration with the Egri Fodazione per la Danza aimed at a creation for the EgriBiancoDanza Company that will debut in autumn 2020 as part of the project “Ergo Sum” directed by Raphael Bianco. Since three years the choreographer has also been present at the festival directed by Virgilio Sieni La Democrazia del Corpo, where he is invited to work with a group of dancers for the creation of a new piece.
During the pandemic starts working on NOBODY NOBODY NOBODY. It’s OK not to be OK. Starting from his autobiographical experience, the performance manifests itself as a totally open process, a danced discourse that investigates the memories and traces left on the body by the culture of control, violence and offense. The complete work debuts at MART in Rovereto during the Oriente Occidente 2021 festival. In the last two years with the project of the same name expanded to the community, Ninarello meets together with sociologist Mariella Popolla, more than 400 adolescents involved in a workshop and residential path in schools, collaborating with the project Media Dance – Lavanderia a Vapore di Collegno, Oriente Occidente, fabrik Potsdam, Triennale Milano. In 2021, Ninarello is also invited by Gender Bender to participate as a choreographer in the Performing Gender Dancing in your shoes project, a three-year audience development project that aims to develop a link between cultural professionals and their local communities in the field of dance and performing arts through a discussion on gender in the European dance system.
In 2022 he debuted the short work What i am is already gone / per corpo affaticato made as part of SWANS NEVER DIE, a project conceived by Lavanderia a Vapore – Centro di Residenza per la Danza (Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo, Coorpi, Didee Arti e Comunicazione, Mosaico Danza, Zerogrammi) in collaboration with Operaestate Festival Veneto and Centro per la Scena Contemporanea CSC Bassano del Grappa, Triennale Milano Teatro, Fondazione Teatro Grande di Brescia, Festival Bolzano Danza Fondazione Haydn, Il Cassero LGBTI Center – Gender Bender Festival, Mnemedance, University of Turin Bachelor of Arts in DAMS.
He is currently engaged in his new production Healing Together (provisional title), supported by Étape Danse, an international residency project coordinated by Mosaic Dance with partners Fabrik Potsdam (De), La Maison centre de développement chorégraphique national Uzès Gard Occitanie, Théâtre de Nîmes (FR), in partnership with Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo PDV (Circuito Regionale Multidisciplinare del Piemonte) – Lavanderia a Vapore and Torinodanza Festival- Fondazione Teatro Stabile di Torino. It is also supported by Orbita Spellbound Centro di Produzione Nazionale della Danza, Cango/Centro di produzione sui linguaggi del corpo e della danza, Centro per la Scena Contemporanea – Bassano del Grappa and Lavanderia a Vapore Centro di Residenza per la danza. The work will be developed in the framework of the OnMobilisation project an international cooperation project supported by the European Commission’s Creative Europe program.

2012 – Choreographer selected to participate in the international project of Residence in Sharing with the choreographic centers TROIS-CL in Luxembourg and Tanz Tendenz in Munich, supported by Mosaico Danza, with the support of Torinodanza, the Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo and Goethe in Turin.
2012 – Italian Choreographer presented at the festival Les Reperages, with the support of Festival Interplay Mosaicodanza directed by Natalia Casorati.
2012 – Italian choreographer selected for the international project Dance Roads supported by the Festival Interplay Mosaicodanza, Italian partner of the network. International tour in Canada, France, Great Britain, Holland and Italy. The project partners, besides Mosaico Danza/Interplay, are Tangente (Montreal, CDN), Globe Théâtre (Bodeaux, F), Welsh in Dance (Cardiff, UK) and Generale Oost (Arnhem, NL).
